Â鶹AV
Applying the riches of the Reformation to the modern church, Â鶹AV is a weekly roundtable discussion about theology and culture.
Launched in 1990, Â鶹AV is a listener-supported radio show and podcast named after the pub in Cambridge, England, where the Reformation came to the English-speaking world. Our hosts model conversational theology, representing the Baptist, Reformed, Lutheran, and Anglican traditions. Each week, they tackle tough topics that matter to Christians living in a pluralistic world. Part theology, part apologetics, part cultural analysis, Â鶹AV calls the church back to the first principles of the Reformation, believing that a rediscovery of those riches could spark a modern reformation in our churches and family rooms.
Our History
Thirty years ago, Â鶹AV and the Reformation principles it championed—Scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, and for God’s glory alone—became the foundation for a fledgling organization that soon grew to include Modern Reformation magazine and events around the country. Since then, the growth has continued with the launch of Core Christianity and Theo Global. Now, everything we do is gathered up under the name Sola Media.
Under Sola Media, Â鶹AV, Modern Reformation, Core Christianity, and Theo Global will proclaim the truth of the gospel, helping Christians know what they believe and why they believe it. .
Looking to the Future
The vision of Â鶹AV is to see a new reformation in our churches through a rediscovery of God, the gospel, and the classic Christian confessions proclaimed during the 16th-century Protestant Reformation. By cultivating conversational theology and helping Christians know what they believe and why they believe it, we hope to contribute to the growth, spread, and broader evangelistic vision of churches that are committed to the gospel ministry of word and sacrament.
